Jerome Stanislaus's Story
Jerome Stanislaus was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Upon graduating from Boys & Girls High School in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, he went off to the United States Marine Corps. After completing ten years of honorable service, Jerome exited the Marine Corps, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Airport Management, then taught as an elementary school teacher while serving in the Air Force Reserves. Growing up in Brooklyn in the 1990s and early 2000s, his dream was to be an airline pilot. However, there were times he did not feel like that dream was realistic because he had never seen a pilot who looked like him. Today, he has received national recognition, and has been featured on CBS This Morning with Michelle Miller; CNN Travel; AOPA Magazine; NOW THIS News; BLAVITY, and more for his audacious leadership and generosity by donating his time and personal resources to service racially diverse youth, teens, and young adults by taking them on introductory flights in multiple cities across the United States.

In addition to these flights, Jerome visits elementary, middle, and high schools to speak on the various career opportunities within the aviation industry as a whole, such as air traffic control, aircraft maintenance, and flight dispatch. By doing this, Jerome is helping these individuals explore their Interests in the aviation industry.
During his time as a teacher, Jerome was inspired to write a series of children’s books, which he is currently working on, to spark interest in aviation from a very young age. Jerome believes the earlier children are exposed to aviation, the earlier they can express interest, subsequently leading to the earlier parents can focus their financial planning for their child’s future.
